#ThisIsThePlace Roadtrip heads to Carolina Beach for final stop

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — What a trip it’s been!

Since mid-April WWAY has been hitting the road around southeastern North Carolina to get to know the people, places and stories that make our community so great. Our #ThisIsThePlace Roadtrip has allowed us to show what our newscast “Good Evening Wilmington” is all about. The 5:30 p.m. newscast each weeknight is all about good news, and there’s lots of it around our area.

So far we’ve visited Burgaw, Elizabethtown, Whiteville, Wrightsville Beach and Leland. Friday evening the trip makes its final stop, as it helps kick off summer and Memorial Day weekend at Carolina Beach.

Daniel Seamans and Helen Holt will be live at the gazebo at the Carolina Beach Boardwalk from 5 until 6:30 p.m. That includes broadcasting the full half hour of “Good Evening Wilmington” live, complete with stories about what makes Carolina Beach so great, live interviews with special guests and more! Afterward, the town hopes you’ll stick around to enjoy the amusements as well as the first Fireworks by the Sea & Boardwalk Blast of the season.
