EDEN, N.C. (WFMY) — This Eden man is going to the Florida Keys after his big lottery win.

Timothy Domina won a $100,000 prize after playing a $20 100X The Cash scratch-off ticket with the NC Education Lottery.

“I about had a heart attack,” Domina laughed. “I was shocked.”

Domina bought his lucky ticket from a P And D Food Mart on North Main Street in Eden.

He told his brother right away about the winnings.

“He didn’t believe me,” Domina recalled. “He had to come look at the ticket.”

Domina plans to take his family on vacation as well as pay some bills with the prize money.

“I’ve never been to the Florida Keys and always wanted to go,” Domina said. “I can take my family there on vacation.”

After federal and state tax withholding, Domina walked away with $71,311.
