ONLY ON 3: North Carolina is in the spotlight in new feature film

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Filmmaker Jaiden Frost said his new project is all about North Carolina and even features a crew and cast exclusively from our state.

Frost said his movie, Victims of Burial, follows four paranormal investigators as they explore some of the most haunted places in the Tar Heel state. One of the locations is our very own Battleship North Carolina.

He said he decided to shoot here because he believes you don’t have to move away to make it in film.

“It’s like there’s this notion that when you’re an artist you need to go to LA, that’s the only thing you can do as a filmmaker in order to be successful,” said Frost.

Frost said film incentives have caused productions to leave the state, but he remains optimistic for their return.

“I hope that this will show something to not only just North Carolina residents but to the Senate and higher up and show that hey care about film because film cares about North Carolina,” said Frost.

He said you don’t have to travel west to find talent, skilled performers and crew members live right here in NC.

“That’s what this is about is showing that North Carolina and not just Wilmington or Fayetteville or whatever, just North Carolina as a whole can be creative and create something,” said Frost.

Frost says his movie will only play in North Carolina theaters and you can expect to see it around Christmas
