Beaches in Myrtle Beach under red flag warning
MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WPDE) — The beaches in Myrtle Beach have been put under a red flag warning because of a high risk for rip currents, according to David Knipes with the Myrtle Beach Police Department.
The warning only impacts beaches within the Myrtle Beach city limits.
A red flag warning means that no swimming is allowed, but people are allowed to walk in the water, Knipes said.
