One injured, 3 arrested in Wilmington robbery, shooting Sunday

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington police arrested three people after an armed robbery and shooting that injured one person Sunday.

New Hanover County telecommunicators said the call came in just before 7:15 p.m. about gunfire near Park Ave. and 39th St.

A police spokeswoman said a man was grazed by a bullet in the elbow. She said it is not life threatening.  The victim was not transported to the hospital.

Police said they have three juveniles were detained for questioning.

The spokeswoman later said three males were taken into custody after the armed robbery and shooting. She said they are facing armed robbery and other charges.
