10 hurt after roller coaster derails at theme park
(CNN) — Ten people were injured when a roller coaster car derailed at a theme park in Scotland on Sunday afternoon.
Witnesses described chaotic scenes as staff and visitors to M&D’s amusement park in Motherwell, North Lanarkshire, rushed to help those injured.
In a post on Facebook, Lanarkshire Police said two adults and eight children were being treated at local hospitals.
“The details of their injuries will be provided in due course,” police said.
