CFCC named one of the top 50 best value community colleges in the US

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Cape Fear Community College has recently been ranked as one of the top 50 “best value community colleges” by valuecolleges.com.

In a press release, CFCC staff said the study examined 1,717 open-admission, public community colleges in the United States that offer two year associate degrees.

CFCC was ranked #28 on the list, based on graduation/transfer rate, mid-level salaries for graduates, and actual tuition.

According to a press release, the study declared CFCC “one of the leading career and technical education institutions in the state” and “a major provider of workforce training for the coastal region of North Carolina.”

“Cape Fear Community College provides accessible, high-quality education,” said CFCC President Dr. Amanda Lee in a press release. “It’s very gratifying to see our college recognized nationally for our efforts. We strive daily to meet the needs of our students and community employers, so I’m thrilled to hear that we’ve been ranked so highly at the national level.”
