Bags banned at Columbus County Schools athletic events
COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — You may no longer bring bags to athletic events at Columbus County schools.
The bag ban (pocketbooks, book bags, etc.) was announced Monday and is effective immediately. Exceptions will be made in certain circumstances (diaper bags, portable oxygen, etc.).
Spectators must also be seated during events, and no longer allowed to stand.
The school system says there was no incident to prompt the chance, that this was done out of an abundance of caution.
