Southport man charged with attempted first degree murder
SOUTHPORT, NC (WWAY) — A Southport man has been charged with attempted first degree murder.
The man was arrested following a shooting Friday evening.
Marcelino Morales Sanchez, 49, of Elm Street in Southport has been charged with attempted first-degree murder, assault with deadly weapon intent to kill inflicting serious injury, and discharging a weapon into occupied property.
Sanchez is being held in the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office with no bond.
