Deputies respond to Riegelwood shooting call, discover dead 63-year-old woman
RIEGELWOOD, NC (WWAY) — N.C. Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call about a shooting Thursday evening.
Bladen County 911 says they received the call around 8:49 p.m. about a person being shot in the 18000 block of NC 87 Hwy E in Riegelwood.
Deputies arrived to find 63-year-old Sylvia Brown dead.
Officials say this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.
The investigation is continuing.
