‘Trip of a lifetime’ for Jevanie Green

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Jevanie Green was badly injured in a car accident in Southport last summer after the Fourth of July celebrations. This summer several Brunswick County Schools staff members are banding together to make sure he has the best summer vacation ever.

Jevanie was granted a full scholarship for a therapeutic dolphin swimming experience at Island Dolphin Care in Key Largo, Florida. The staff members were touched by Jevanie’s story and wanted to do everything they could to help him out.

The staff said they hope this trip will help Jevanie gain confidence and eventually achieve his goal of joining the South Brunswick track team.

Airfare and meals for Jevanie and a caregiver are being paid for through fundraising efforts and any additional money raised would fo to making sure Jevaine can explore the Keys while he’s down there.
