Jimmy’s of Wrightsville Beach seeks justice via social media
WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Some small businesses in the Cape Fear have taken crime to the crowds on social media.
Jimmy’s of Wrightsville Beach has found a unique way to locate stolen items throughout the years.
“Jimmy’s” Manager, Jared Sales, said by a simple post on Instagram, not only will the item be returned but it teaches a valuable lesson.
He said in order to get the post deleted, the person who stole has to help out some way. This may include picking up trash on the beach or donating to a local cause.
Sales said it’s good to know that the community has their back.
“If they get called out for it, they may never steal again in their lifetime. It’s just something that everyone kind of bands together to do, to help ‘Jimmy’s’ out,” Sales said.
He said if you see something, say something—or it’ll be in the hands of social media.
Either way, he said “’Jimmy’s’ will find justice.”
