Plans submitted for additional ‘Wawa’ location in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A northeastern gas and convenience store has plans for another location in Wilmington.

Plans call for a ‘Wawa’ to be built on 4301 Carolina Beach Road near Codington Elementary School.

Wawa began moving forward with plans in 2023 to build another location on South 17th Street.

Plans were submitted in the fall to build a Wawa at 6800 Carolina Beach Road, but it’s still going through the approval process.
