Report: Area home prices continue to rise
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Real estate in the Wilmington area and much of the country continues to be a seller’s market.

The Wilmington number, which includes homes sold in New Hanover and Pender counties, is slightly behind the statewide increase of 4.3 percent for the sale price of single-family homes in June compared to June 2015. Across the country, CoreLogic says, home prices jumped 5.7 percent over the 12-month period and were up 1.1 percent from May to June.
CoreLogic forecasts continued growth. The company predicts a 5.3 percent increase from June 2016 to June 2017.
