Cape Fear Karate Kid Wins Another State Championship

Shallotte, NC (WWAY) — The Cape Fear Karate Kid is earning more hardware ahead of the national championship season this summer.

Shelby Milliken won another AAU North Carolina state championship today. Earlier this year Shelby also won the Virginia state championship.

Up next for Shelby is South Carolina on April 13th. She will then try to qualify for nationals in Las Vegas.

The nine-year-old already has a very decorated career, including being named the Isshin-Ryu 12 and under Karate-ka of the year in 2023, and winning many other national titles in previous years.
