Man charged with 2022 murder now charged with rape from 2015 cold case
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A man charged with a 2022 murder has now been charged with rape in a separate case.
The Wilmington Police Department has charged Jahreese Jones, 26, with First Degree Rape, Armed Robbery, and First Degree Kidnapping in reference to a cold case from August of 2015.
Jones is currently being held at the Tabor Correctional Institution on unrelated charges.
Jones is accused of murdering 16-year-old Miyonna Jones in 2022.
Miyonna Jones was Jahreese Jones half-sister.
