Man arrested after Domino’s Pizza break-in


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A man is behind bars, accused of breaking into a Domino’s Pizza and trying to get into a safe.

Wilmington police say just before 5:00 am, 50-year-old Jimmie Willets broke into the Domino’s on College Acres Drive with a crowbar. An employee was still inside the store and called 911.

When officers arrived, Willets was leaving the store. Police say he laid on the ground and was arrested.

Willets is charged with Breaking or Entering, Safecracking, Larceny, Injury to Personal Property and Possession of Burglary Tools.

He is in jail under a $20,000 bond.
