Sunset Beach Police warn of vacation home break-ins

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Sunset Beach Police are warning people in the beach community about a series of break-ins where vacation homes are being targeted.

The Sunset Beach Police Department said in a Facebook post that break-ins have been reported in the area of Seaside Station, including Magnolia, Live Oak and Dogwood drives this week.

The post said the homes being targeted are not full-time residences.

Police warn residents to be sure doors and windows are secure, and suggest to write down serial numbers of valuables kept in your home.

The police department asks anyone who sees anything suspicious in the area to call 911.
