Rock fundraiser to benefit Carousel Center
WILMINGTON, NC — The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame comes to Wilmington for one night only.
Making Legends Local is a live performance, featuring 25 years worth of music. The best part? Elected officials and other prominent residents will be the ones assuming the identities of Rock and Roll Hall of Famers. Who knows who you’ll see dressed like artists such as Kiss, Queen and AC/DC?
All the proceeds benefit the Carousel Center.
“It aids us in providing the services to physically and sexually abused children, those who aren’t able to pay for those services,” April Pickett. “We certainly provide services to any child regardless of their ability to pay, so this support is a great assistance for that.”
Last year the Carousel Center served 215 children. Forty percent of them came from New Hanover County. The making legends local Rock and Roll gala is Friday night at the Coastline Convention Center in Downtown Wilmington. Tickets for the show are $50 or $100 for the show and reception.
