Fit For Fun Center turns 17

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — There was a party at the Fit For Fun Center in Wilmington Friday as they blew out candles to celebrate their big day.

The center is turning 17 years old.

There were lots of decorations and cupcakes for parents and kids to enjoy.

The center was filled up for a good time Friday with kids under five. There was different stations including one to make a birthday hat.

Fit For Fun Center Director Erica Fonvielle says it’s a gem to this community.

“It’s one of a kind,” Fonveille said. “It’s nice because it’s geared towards the little ones and the parents have to stay so we are promoting creativity and memories with families, socialization, everything you can think of.”

Fonveille adds that this is not a drop off center so parents and kids have a safe environment to interact with each other starting at a young age.
