Several Pender County stores accused of selling alcohol to underage customers

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Four Pender County stores have been cited for selling alcohol to customers who were underage.

A compliance check was conducted by the Pender County Sheriff’s Office’s Vice and Narcotics Unit on Tuesday at various convenience stores throughout the county.

At total of 10 stores were checked with the following are being cited for underage alcohol sales:

• Hampstead Country Store – 14565 US Highway 17, Hampstead NC. 28443

• R P Quick Stop – 4800 NC Highway 133, Rocky Point NC. 28457

• Donnie’s Mini Mart – 3381 US Highway 117 South, Burgaw NC. 28425

• Browns Mini Mart – 201 US Highway 117 South, Burgaw, NC  28425

Reports of the compliance checks will be forwarded to North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement for further investigation related to ABC violations.
