Wrightsville Beach locals and visitors enjoy warm weather

WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Temperatures were in the high 70’s on Monday and lots of folks took advantage of the warm weather at Wrightsville Beach. 

Many people packed their beach bags and headed for the sand to enjoy Monday’s sunny weather. 

We’re still two months away from summer. So, now’s your chance to soak up the sun in the springtime with a slight breeze to keep you cool. 

Hailey Rosen and Miley Conklin said they live nearby and like to start their beach visits early before summer foot traffic picks up. 

“It’s really nice living next to the beach but the traffic can get bad,” Rosen said. 

“Yeah, the traffic can be bad. In the summer it’s hard to park. But right now, it’s fine,” Conklin said. 

Remember to swim safely, lifeguards in Wrightsville Beach do not occupy those lifeguard stands until Memorial Day.
