WPD: Cape Fear Memorial Bridge was temporarily closed in both directions

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police announced Tuesday evening that the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge was temporarily closed in both directions.

WPD said the North Carolina Department of Transportation was working on getting things moving as quickly as they could.

As of 7:40 p.m. Wilmington Police confirmed that the Cape Fear Memorial was back open again, estimating it was closed for about 30 minutes.
