Pender County man charged with internet sex crimes involving children

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Burgaw man faces charges following a tip regarding his alleged online activities.
The Pender County Sheriff’s Office arrested Thomas Richard Peacock, 39, on Thursday for twenty counts of felony Second-Degree Sexual Exploitation of Minors.
According to a news release, these charges were the result of a CyberTip reported by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children to the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
Peacock also faces narcotics possession charges.
He received a $500,000.00 secured bond.
The sheriff’s office says the investigation is still ongoing.
