BOLIVIA, NC (WWAY) — The Brunswick County Board of Education has approved the BCS 2024-2029 Strategic Plan.

The school district says it developed the plan through efforts to reach out to the community, including 11 focus groups comprising parents, students, staff, and community leaders, as well as a comprehensive district and community survey completed by 1460 respondents.

The data has been analyzed and synthesized to identify five priority areas: Student Success, Student Services, Community Engagement, Quality Staff, Effective and Efficient Operations.

“Our district has identified areas for growth and improvement,” says Superintendent Dale Cole, “and I believe this strategic plan provides a comprehensive and forward-thinking roadmap to achieve the levels of success that our district is capable of.”

“I am deeply grateful for the hard work and dedication that went into crafting our new strategic plan for Brunswick County Schools,” Board of Education Chairman Steven Barger says. “It not only outlines clear objectives and initiatives but also demonstrates a profound understanding of our district’s needs and aspirations. This plan aligns perfectly with our mission to deliver the highest quality education to every student, equipping them with the tools and opportunities they need to thrive.”
