Men charged in heroin death appear in court


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Jonathan Foster and Daniel Masciotti appeared before a judge today after a second degree murder charge was added to a number of drug charges the pair was already facing.

The men’s charges were upgraded after a woman police said they supplied with drugs died of a heroin overdose.

Foster took a court appointed attorney, while Masciotti hired his own.

If convicted, the men could face up to 40 years in prison. They are scheduled back in court next month.
