ILM seeing more passengers than Thanksgiving week last year

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) —  This week is considered one of the busiest weeks to travel during the year.

Officials at the ILM airport said they are already seeing an increase in passengers from last year at this time.

Operations Manager Gary Taylor said they will have a few more TSA staff on board this week.

He said to remind people to get the the airport early and be patient this week. Even though they are seeing more passengers, Taylor said many of the flights still have seats available.
