Convention Center hotel expected to open by summer

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A new addition to Downtown Wilmington is right on schedule, city officials say the Convention Center Hotel should be open in the coming months.

Construction for the Embassy Suites Hotel, located next to the Wilmington Convention Center, is currently underway.

City officials say the privately owned $36M hotel will include 186 full service rooms, a roof top bar, pool, full-service restaurant, and additional meeting space.

The new hotel is expected to open this summer.
