Children with disabilities visit with Santa

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Kids of all ages came to enjoy all the fun and games at Santa’s Village at Mayfair today.

The goal of the Sensitive Santa event was to allow children with disabilities the opportunity to enjoy a sensory environment with games and activities for them to enjoy.

Isaiah was one of those children who got the chance to have some fun before he got the chance to meet with the big man.

For his mother, it was great to see her son enjoying himself

“It feels great that their including the special needs community in these kinds of things.” Isaiah’s mother Samantha Venier said.

Venier said seeing the laughter and smile on his face made it all worth it.

We also learned that Isaiah is a big fan of WWAY, so we wanted to wish a Merry Christmas to Isaiah from all of us here!
