Dustin joined WWAY in September 2016 as a reporter and became Sports Anchor in April 2017. He first stepped in front of a camera during his senior year of high school, where he was the Wednesday morning news anchor for his school's broadcast. At that point, he knew that he wanted to be behind the anchor desk for the future. Dustin was born and raised in San Jose, CA, where he attended San Jose State University. He graduated in 2015 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. During college he spent time working with the San Jose State and Stanford University football teams as a coach's assistant. Being able to travel around the country with the team and watch from the sidelines at venues such as the Rose Bowl and the Los Angeles Coliseum were the highlights from his time with the teams. Before moving to Wilmington in the fall of 2016, Dustin worked as a sports reporter with Get Sports Focus in the Bay Area covering area high school and college sports teams. When Dustin is not out reporting, he likes to spend time with his family and watching sports. He is an avid sports fan, especially football. This drives him to continue working hard to try and make his way to the NFL Network. He is excited to be living on the east coast and being able to continue to live out his dream.
