Wilmington’s first Sheetz to open on Tuesday

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A new restaurant and convenience store will open its doors in Wilmington on Tuesday.

Sheetz, which is a Mid-Atlantic chain, is located at 2517 Shipyard Blvd.

In recognition of this first-ever opening in the city of Wilmington, Sheetz will host a grand opening at 9 a.m. with multiple prizes awarded.

The store’s official ribbon-cutting ceremony is set for 10:45 a.m. This new location, which opens to the public at 8 a.m., will also welcome customers by offering free self-serve coffee and soda for the entire grand opening day.

Sheetz will also donate $2,500 to the Plastic Ocean Project and $2,500 to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina and Special Olympics of North Carolina.

Customers attending the grand opening who donate a non-perishable food item to the food bank will receive a Sheetz branded item, while supplies last.

Sheetz currently operates 740+ store locations across Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio and Maryland, with all locations open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
