Burgaw man gets $2.1 million bond on breaking and entering, gun, drug charges


BURGAW, NC (WWAY) –  Police say a Burgaw man is facing a slew of charges for breaking and entering and selling stolen weapons.

This comes after a joint investigation with the Burgaw Police Department, Pender County Sheriff’s Office, and ATF Taskforce.

Police say Lamonty Chester, 22, is charged with 10 counts of breaking and entering into a motor vehicle, 8 counts of larceny of a firearm, 15 counts of felony aid  and abet a convicted felon,  among dozens of other felony drug charges.

A magistrate set Chester’s bond at $2.1 million dollars.

Police say the investigation continues.
