Carolina Beach police investigating death of a child
CAROLINA BEACH (WWAY) — A death investigation is underway in Carolina Beach.
According to a news release from the Carolina Beach Police Department, officers and EMS were called to Waterview Condos at 305 S. Lake Park Blvd in reference to a medical call on Saturday.
When officer arrived, they found the young victim who was immediately transported to NHRMC Novant.
Police say after the victim arrived at the hospital they died of their injuries.
Carolina Beach detectives are conducting an investigation. No word yet on the age or identity of the victim, or how they died.
Police say this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.
