Pet Pals: 8-month-old Anatolian Shepherd looking for forever home

WILMINGTON (WWAY) — This week’s Pet Pal is Maxx, an 8-month-old Anatolian Shepherd mix.

New Hanover County Animal Services staff says he was surrendered and is getting some much-needed training for the first time. Experience with this breed is required, and staff says he will need a lot of interaction and exercise to keep him busy.

Staff also says he’s probably not well suited to homes with small kids because he is 75 pounds and doesn’t realize it.

New Hanover County Animal Services is located at 180 Division Drive in Wilmington. County residents can adopt for 70 dollars.
