New Hanover 911 lines restored

(New Hanover County)– New Hanover County 911 telephone lines have been restored and are functioning as expected.

Earlier this morning, the 911 Center encountered an outage as a result of a generator failure. AT&T, who maintains the County’s 911 system, responded and was able to correct the generator issue.

During this outage, all 911 calls were received and processed by the 911 Center using a back-up system.
