Wilmington Police make arrest after investigation into multiple breaking and entering incidents

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Over the past several weeks, the Wilmington Police Department has seen an uptick in vehicle breaking and entering cases, in addition to motor vehicle thefts.

Detectives have investigated several incidents where firearms have been stolen during vehicle B&E’s.

A search warrant was executed yesterday afternoon in the 400 block of Swann Street. where numerous stolen items were recovered, including several stolen firearms.

23-year-old Antoine Anderson of Wilmington has been charged with Breaking or Entering Motor Vehicle, Obtain Property False Pretense, and Felony Possession of Stolen Goods/Property.

He is being held at the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office’s Detention Center under a $12,500 secure bond.

This is an ongoing investigation and more charges are expected, additionally, charges against a juvenile are also expected.
