Ashley’s Adventures: North Carolina Ukulele Academy

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) – If you’re looking for an easy, fun way to learn to play an instrument, look no further than the North Carolina Ukulele Academy.

Located above Blue Moon Gift Shops, the academy first opened its doors in 2007.

“It’s really easy to get started with,” said instructor and owner, Kent Knorr. “It an easy way to learn music and it’s just fun.”

From strumming to Hawaiian, the academy offers a variety of classes.

“We have the beginner classes, but after that there are different levels. And as we get into the different levels, you’re learning different techniques,” Knorr said.

He offers classes to both adults and kids.
