CFPUA closing lane for repairs near New Hanover High School

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) –  A lane on Market Street will close on Saturday for repairs.

Cape Fear Public Utility Authority says crews will conduct a repair on a leaking water valve in front of New Hanover High School. In order for the work to be done, the westbound outside lane of Market Street will need to close.

The lane will be closed starting at 7:00 a.m.

CFPUA says a paving contractor will be ready to replace the asphalt once repairs are done. CFPUA estimates the road will be open by the end of the day.

CFPUA does not anticipate a drinking water advisory but says it could be possible, depending on what crews find after they excavate.
