Azalea Festival concert stage setup underway

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — We’ve got a busy week in store when the 70th annual Azalea Festival kicks off Wednesday.

Crews are hard at work putting up equipment and the main stage in downtown Wilmington beside the Schwartz Center.

A portion of Front Street is temporarily closed from Brunswick Street to Hanover Street.

Concerts include Cole Swindell hitting the stage on Thursday, Duran Duran on Friday, and Jason Derulo on Saturday.
