Myrtle Beach State Park rangers rescue hooked sea turtle
MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WWAY) — Rangers at the Myrtle Beach State Park received a call of a hooked sea turtle off the fishing pier, according to South Carolina State Park’s Facebook page.
Park rangers were able to rescue the turtle by dropping a net down for it. SCDNR was contacted and the turtle was taken to a sea turtle rehab center in Charleston, South Carolina.
SC State Parks says they hope the turtle can return to the ocean in good health soon.
