Much of WNC left in the dark, as outages continue the day after Helene

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Much of Western North Carolina was left in the dark on Sept. 28, the morning after Hurricane Helene swept through the region causing widespread power, internet and cell phone outages.
The storm followed another powerful system that dumped several inches of rain and caused flash flooding on Sept. 26.
