Bladen County’s call center was reconized after their aid to Western North Carolina

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Cherokee County, a county in western North Carolina, recently thanked Bladen County Sheriff’s Office Telecommunicators for helping during the flooding of Helene when most of their 911 services were down.
According to Bladen County, they took 481 calls when they backed up Cherokee County.
BCSO’s writes on their Facebook page that they usually take hits from hurricanes so they were happy to return the favor.
