Shots fired into Columbus County home
CLARKTON, NC (WWAY) — The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the person of persons who fired shots into the home of former Columbus County Sheriff Lewis Hatcher.
According to the incident report, deputies responded to Hatcher’s home on Pridgen Acres Drive around 6:4opm on November 7th.
The report says Hatcher told investigators that someone fired shots into his home while he, his wife, and his nephew were inside.
Deputies found multiple bullet holes and shell casings on the property. Camera footage showed a suspect wearing dark clothing approaching the yard around the time of the incident.
The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office says the case remains under investigation, and are asking anyone with information to contact them.
