Wilmington’s 21st Annual Holiday Parade

DOWNTOWN WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The holiday season officially kicked off in Wilmington with the annual parade, which began at 6 p.m. on North Front Street and traveled south, ending at Church Street.

As the floats passed by, hundreds of people gathered along the streets of downtown Wilmington, waving and cheering.

The holiday spirit was especially contagious for attendee Caleb, who was inspired to get involved next year.

“We came out on a whim tonight honestly… we didn’t really have plans, she said this was happening and I’m glad we did. We’ve missed this the past three years in a row and this is so cute and adorable—lots of fun, and I love how downtown is decorated. I want to have a float in this parade; I think we just made a handshake agreement on that.”
