Two UNCW students charged with rape
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Two UNCW students were arrested on December 5 on rape charges that allegedly took place in Asheville.
According to police, Magnus Boesen, 22, was charged with first-degree rape, sexual battery, and assault on a female.
Hannes Rueger, 21, was charged with first-degree rape.
They were arrested at 5114 Seahawk Landing Dr. by UNCW Police. According to the university, both men were international students currently enrolled for the fall semester.
Boesen and Rueger are being held in New Hanover County as they await extradition to Ashville.
