One man in hospital in serious condition after shooting in Wilmington
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police are investigating a shooting that led to one man being taken to the hospital.
On December 16th shortly after 7:00 p.m., officers responded to the 700 block of S. 8th Street for a Shotspotter notification.
When officers arrived they found a male victim who had been shot.
The man was transported to Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center by EMS in serious condition.
Detectives from the Wilmington Police Department are actively investigating, but the early indication from police is that this appears to be an isolated incident.
