Rain did not stop people from attending Food Truck Rodeo

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Despite the rain people still came out to the food truck rodeo at Hugh MacRae Park.

New Hanover County Parks Conservancy had their eighth food truck rodeo to help raise money for a new challenge course.

The challenge course will cost around $180,000 and will be at Northern Regional Park.

10% of food truck sales went to the conservancy.

There were about a dozen different food trucks there for people to enjoy.

“Food trucks ya know they’re fun. It’s something where we can support the food truck community. We get a lot of them together, people enjoy the good food and different types of food they can eat, and getting the family together, and people can enjoy the parks come out, and play around and do other things, but also get a good bite to eat from some of our great food trucks,” New Hanover County Parks Conservancy Vice Chair Jeremy Wilson said.

The next food truck event for the conservancy will be at Ogden Park.
