Area school schedule changes for Tuesday and Wednesday
CAPE FEAR, NC (WWAY) — With winter weather expected this week, schools around the Cape Fear are changing their schedules.
- Brunswick County Schools will be moving online for Wednesday with all after-school events on Tuesday and Wednesday canceled.
- Pender County Schools will be dismissing 2 hours early on Tuesday and will be closed Wednesday. Thursday will operate on a 2 hour delay.
- Bladen County Schools will be moving online for Tuesday and Wednesday.
- New Hanover County Schools will be moving to remote learning on Wednesday. All extracurricular activities on Wednesday are cancelled
- Columbus Career and College Academy will release at 1PM on Tuesday, January 21st. All staff will be released at 1PM from the scheduled teacher workday.
- Calvary Christian School will be closed Tuesday.
- Cape Fear Academy will be closed on Wednesday
- Cape Fear Community College will close at 2:00 PM on Tuesday. All classes scheduled after 2:00 PM will transition to remote instruction where possible, and all events after 2:00 PM are canceled. The Bonnie Sanders Burney Child Development Center will also close at 2:00 PM.
- UNCW classes and events are cancelled beginning at 2 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon.
