71 year old man shot in armed robbery in Clarendon

WHITEVILLE, NC (WWAY) — A 71-year-old was shot as part of an armed robbery on Monday night that happened at 286 Williams Road in Clarendon.

According to Columbus County Sheriff’s Office, the man told deputies he was carrying $30,000 in cash and was attempting to unlock his door when he was shot from a nearby ditch.
