25th Annual Toys for Tots Motorcycle Ride happening Sunday

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington holiday tradition returns this weekend and it’s all to help out kids in need.

The 25th Annual Toys for Tots Motorcycle Ride is this Sunday. This ride has 500-800 motorcycles participating in the parade each year.

Bikes will line up starting at 9 a.m. and leave for their ride around the area at noon.

It’s an effort to rally bikers to donate toys for less fortunate kids. Even if you’re not riding, anyone can participate by bringing a new unwrapped toy to Carolina Coast Harley Davidson between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Sunday morning.

The ride will disrupt traffic a bit. The route is as follows:

  • Start at Carolina Coast H-D, 6620 Market St.
  • Right on Station Rd
  • Right on Military Cutoff.
  • Continue on to Oleander.
  • Continue on to Wooster St.
  • Right on 3rd St.
  • Continue on Martin Luther King
  • Left on Market
  • Return to Carolina Coast H-D.
